Day 20: Out of the Mouths of Babes...As a father, there are things that I sometimes worry about. Am I setting a good example for my family? Do my wife and son look to me for help on their walk with God? But one of the more challenging things is discerning how to train my son to become a leader within the church, especially when a seven year old like him is more concerned with Super Mario Bros. and McDonald's Happy Meal toys. When I imagine the faces and intense look in the eyes of the disciples when they ask Jesus to teach them to pray, it must have been an amazing moment. Imagine that - Jesus teaching his disciples how to pray. And then I read your writings Tom and I see those moments are perpetuated throughout the centuries by fathers like you. Let us all learn to pray, pray and teach our children to pray! Thanks so much Tom for who you are and who you are raising! (And I know Lisa is a vital part of bring up a praying son too!
Scott is such a sweet boy and a lot of that has to do with his sweet parents. My family appreciates the prayer not only because some of it was prayed for our family, but also because since Scott is Addison and Aidan's best friend, I know he is a good influence in their lives. We love you all and are blesed to have you as friends!
