Day 21: Do You Trust Him?

Psalm 37:3-5

Trust is one quality that all faithful Christians needs to have in God. When a brother or sister is having difficulties, they sometimes forget that God is the one who takes care of them and provides all they need in any situation.

But we cannot forget t
hat in Psalms it tell us that we can trust in God. Often times faithful Christians suffer or have marital or health problems. We should never forget that we might need to change our attitude and give God our trust and continue doing good works. Psalm 37:3- "Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness."

However, completely trusting God is something that, in reality, doesn't always happen with members of the church. Some stop going to worship and even stop walking with God. They leave their spiritual family because of a dif
ficult problem they are suffering. David encourages us to have trust in God and to know that our faithfulness will be rewarded. Psalm 37:4- "Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.. We need to be content with the trials." For this reason, we don't need to have fear or doubt that God will give us what we need in the moment we need it because he knows what is in our hearts.

Do we really trust in God? I believe we sometimes forget to talk with God and ask Him to help us trust in Him. A Christian needs to live in certainty. God wants us to have confidence in moments of problems, temptation, marital trouble, and sufferings.

The best thing for Christians to do is to persevere and not let the enemy change our faithfulness toward God. A faithful Christian is filled with confidence and is one who puts into the hands of God the problems and sufferings of this life, and then is dedicated to the service and the path of God.

If you are not one of these Christians, begin to trust and pray because it is vital to the success of your prayers and petitions. But pray with humility! Psalm 37:5- "Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act.

Comments:
Thanks for sharing Elias. Great comments and I always enjoy references to David. And in keeping with the theme and reference to Psalms, I like Psalm 9:10: “And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.”

I love the theme of "trust" that is found over and over in the scriptures. I like the way you incorporated it in this lesson on prayer. Fervent prayers will only be prayed by people who TRUST God. Thanks Elias - great message!
