Day 18: A Reason to RunStepping out of the door to run on a cold clear December morning, long before the sun is ready to rise, can be a real jolt to the system. As you try to get last night's sleep out of your eyes, you think to yourself, "Why am I doing this?" It does not take long before your gaze turns towards the heavens and you fully understand.Seeing the glory of th e heavens can take your breath away! Instantly, you are glad that you made the decision to get out on this day. Venus, the morning star, is brighter than any street light and dominates the southern sky. The constellation Orion, spoken of in Job, reminds you of the truth of the Bible. It is at these moments that you realize that God has been up all night keeping watch over His creation. Prayers of praise are on my lips. Thank you, God, for allowing me a safe night of sleep and the opportunity to commune with You this day. God is so worthy of our praise and adoration! See you tomorrow at 0500! Psalm 19:1- "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork." Written by David Burka, an elder at Mt. Juliet
Comments:
..If God knows how to place each star in the sky, in it's exact orbit, surely there is no problem he can't handle. It is so good to call him Father :)
